Peters Lost in Cannes
We lost peter in cannes bc he wanted to go get a bathing suit to go swim in the ocean after we ate. we agreed meeting an hour later and waited for him 3 and he nevr showed up.
so several possibilities:
1- he got to the hotel but couldnt find his way back
2- hes still lost and never got to the hotel
3- got to the hotel fundled around and took more than 3 hours to get there.
Ok so we are still waiting at the hotel not knowing where the hell he is. Pray that he comes back at some point. AGAIN some of you will find this hilarious but peter is lost in Cannes. LOL

Cannes - Nightlife
We started last night by hitting up the ocean front didnt really know where to go so that seemed like the most logical place to find some poeple. Ended up being the best place ever. Got to this nice restaurant ordered two bottles of wine and had some smoked salmon pasta. Wrapped up the diner with a cuban cigar feeling good. We decide to walk along the ocean front and see what happens. The docks are gorgeous and the views amazing. Lots of clubs on the docks but it just seemed like they were all vip parties. We actually saw one famous golfer at his party from outside and it seemed like there were alot of celebrities. The girls in Cannes are amazing, the city is just great. I think it is my new favorite city in France. It seems a little bit too elite and expensive though, i dont really know what poeple between the age of 18-24 do there unless they are super rich but im sure their having a blast. So today we are going to visit the cultural aspect of the city then tommorrow back to paris and then Germany here i come!!!

Cannes
So today we left for a trip to Cannes. Got to the station in paris to sort things out. Of course they displayed our train as going to Nices and after asking help to useless employees we had to figure ourselves....5 mins before the train left that the train to Nice was in fact also the train to Cannes but no one knew that...france needs to work on its customer service its pathetic. Anyways so we got into Cannes today after a long trip and we just settled into our pimp hotel. PIMP hotel i must say its basically based on a boat, 15 away from the sea. The interior design is exactly like a boat flatscreen tv and huge beds with couch. pretty nice. So we are about to go out and discover the city its like a mini vacation within a big vacation. Super stoaked!!!

Mixed feelings..
These past couple of days have been pretty interesting. First of all? who charges 7 euros for laundry...? no really thats a disgrace. Plus you had to pay for it in a ghetto machine at the hostel. Dont get me wrong the hostel is really nice, alot of different types of poeple; pretty hot girls but all in all a pretty fun atmosphere. Also; it appeared to be the secret to meeting girls. Yes the laundry room can you believe it? Actually met a couple of really nice girls from LSU. A bunch of juniors found themselves living at our hostel for a whole month. Its kinda of biwarre to see really southern college girls in a setting such as Paris but cheers to that mate..shoutout goes out to my man jonno. Yesterday we went out on the champs and i got to play in one of the most prestigious poker rooms in the world the Cercle Wagram. It was pretty fun, the level was low but some good poker players. All in all i got up to 160 euros with a 50 buy in until i had Ace 8 suited and called a guy all in. The flop had two suited and he had to pairs. I knew from that point on that you only have a 16percent chance of hitting the flush on the river and turn. So i was basically doomed. I left the casino and got into this taxi at like 3 am. Turns out the guy got pissed because i questioned where he was going and kicked me out of the cab leaving me walking around aimlessly around paris attempting to desperately grab a taxi. Luckily i ended up finding out and came back at the hostel around 4.
The best part of this trip so far was chillin with peter and jonathan at the louvres and heckling at girls. Sitting around a presitigious place with alot of culture and just acting like jackasses laughing really loud was pretty entertaining. Im sure we pissed alot of poeple off. I made jonathan and peter promise that they would never mention this moment of immaturity to any of my kids. We shook on it.
Today we went to Montmartre and had lunch. Pretty good the usual steak frites and salade. Me and peter are going to attempt to find a nice mussels and fries place in paris to eat out tonight. SO up next is our trip that was supposed to be in Monaco but that actually ends up being in Cannes. I will update you guys as soon as I get a chance.
If anyone wants to contact me its 06-10-88-44-73 french phone

All Aboard!

First of all I would like to say Welcome to my BloG! Today is the day where it all begins. I've packed the same amount of stuff i used to fit in two canteens into one backpack. Yeah it's a pretty big bagpack. I'm sad to leave Montreal but at the same time excited to go see all my buds in Europe. Leaving at 10.40 pm tonight onboard of an Air France flight. The flight is only 6 hours and 40 mins I've always thought it was longer than that. I'm probably just going to read a book and pass out. I woke up early in order to be able to just crash tonight in the plane. There's no trick to jet lag...i'll just have to deal. I'll update y'all when I land!
